About Swipe Soccer: Pocket League

Eleven against eleven, a packed stadium and one finger. Swipe Soccer is an arcade football game built for a phone held upright: your team always attacks up the screen, and every move is a tap or a swipe.

Tap a teammate to pass, double tap for a lob over the defence, tap open grass to play a through ball, hold and drag to dribble, then swipe at the goal to shoot — bend your swipe and the ball curls. Without the ball your player presses on his own; hit TACKLE for a sliding challenge or SWITCH to the man nearest the ball.

Pick a small club in Division 4 and climb a four-division pyramid with promotion and relegation, chase the League Cup through knockout rounds and penalty shootouts, or lead a nation through the World Tournament. Win coins, train your players, sign new ones and keep your squad fresh.

How to play

1. Tap a teammate to pass to him; double tap him for a high ball.
2. Tap empty grass to send a through ball — the closest teammate runs onto it.
3. Hold your finger on the pitch and drag to dribble toward it.
4. Swipe toward the goal to shoot: a longer swipe lifts the ball, a curved swipe bends it, a frantic swipe flies over.
5. When the opponent has the ball, press TACKLE to slide in or SWITCH to take over the player nearest the ball.
6. Between matches open Squad to train players or change the formation, and Transfers to sign new players.

Tips & tricks

• Pass before the defender arrives — a quick tap to a free teammate beats a long dribble.
• Aim low swipes at the far corner; keepers struggle with curled shots.
• Never slide in from behind inside your own box: it is a penalty.
• High pressure wins the ball back faster but your squad gets tired; rest them with Low pressure in easy games.
• Spend coins on your starting eleven first — speed and shooting make the biggest difference.
